Its closest approach in a similar craft ashore is the house trailer, but unlike the mode of travel, sportsman is a self contained, seaworthy, open water crafter for weekend cruises or fishing trips that will accommodate a partner.. Open water races differ from flat water events both in the venue, open water versus protected water, and length. while flat water events are most often measured in meters, except for the 3-mile head races in the fall, open water events are always measured in miles..
We’ve been building different open water rowboats for several years now, using them in the north sea, rowing them for thousands of sea miles, learning by mistake and gathering priceless knowledge at sea, perfecting our craft slowly until we were happy with the result..
